Homemade Dry Dog Food
Ingredients
- 4 cups whole wheat flour
- 3 cups white flower
- 1 cup wheat germ
- 2 cups ground beef
- 1 tsp yeast
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 2 cups powdered milk
- 4 eggs
Directions
- 1. Dissolve the yeats in one cup of warm water.
- 2. Mix all the ingredients together once the yeast has dissolved. Knead the ingredients
until a thick paste is formed. You may need to add extra water to the mixture.
- 3. Allow the dough to sit for at least 30 minutes. This will permit time for the yeast to rise.
- 4. Roll the dough out on a floured surface. The dough should not be overly thick
once you have finished. Proceed to cut the dough into bite-sized square morsels using a small
knife.
- 5. Place the squares on a large baking sheet and place in the oven. Bake at 350 degrees(325
for dark pan) for 45 minutes. Allow bits to cool, then serve to your dog. Leftovers can
be stored in an airtight container.
